Weaving in the Round

Beginner’s Weaving, just like Tapestry, but weaving in the round. Students will learn how to warp a round loom and weave for texture, while exploring a variety of different materials to create color and visual interest. We’ll be using bulky lofty materials that work up quickly, including yarn, raw wool roving and even mac cord so you can warp, weave and finish in one sitting. This type of weaving allows for less technical confinement and more flexibility, making it a positive experience for beginners who want to embrace intuitive weaving without sacrificing sound techniques for accessibility.
