Printmaking Workshop | Genesee Country Village & Museum

Explore 19th-century printing techniques during this one-day workshop! Participants will design and carve a 4-by-6-inch linocut, then use it to create five to 10 custom greeting cards.

Guests will also hand-set type and print an inside message using the Museum’s Hoe Washington Hand Press. Both the image and message are chosen by the participant.

Please keep the following in mind:

• Bring image ideas to the workshop

• Designs will print in reverse

• Words and lettering can be difficult to carve

• Wear clothing that can get inky

This workshop is designed for adults. Participants ages 10–16 may attend when accompanied by an adult.
