Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Genesee Country Village & Museum! Children ages 12 and younger will receive free Museum admission and can enjoy special activities throughout the Historic Village.

Explore the history and culture of the Haudenosaunee while learning about the treaties that reshaped Western New York. Programming will examine the Treaty of Big Tree, the Mackay family’s connection to the treaty, Haudenosaunee folklore and the influence of Haudenosaunee women on modern democracy.

Additional activities include:

  • Meet the Animals guided tour at 11 am

  • Historic homes, community buildings and trades

  • Heritage animals and seasonal gardens

  • Exhibitions inside the John L. Wehle Gallery

  • Six Nature Center trails ranging from .3 to 1.6 miles

  • Shopping at the Flint Hill Store

  • Food and treats from the Depot Restaurant and D.B. Munger Confectionery

Admission: Free for children ages 12 and younger
