Join nationally acclaimed author Julie Berry for a special event featuring a reading from her newest novel, If Looks Could Kill, followed by a hands-on creative writing workshop.

Age Guidance:

Reading: recommended for ages 13 and up

Brainstorming Workshop: recommended for ages 9 and up

Julie will explore how the story came to life, including the historical and mythological research behind it, Jack the Ripper’s surprising connections to New York, and Medusa’s role as a symbol of reclaiming power. After the reading and discussion, participants ages 9+ are invited to take part in Julie’s engaging workshop on brainstorming and developing story ideas.
