10th Annual Summer Serenade

The 10th Annual Summer Serenade will be taking place on August 23rd at 5:00 p.m. at Terry Hills Golf Course. Join us in bringing the community together for an evening of exceptional music while supporting local children and families through the Genesee County Backpack Program. 

In Genesee County more than 24,500 working families earn above the federal poverty level yet still struggle to meet their basic needs. When families face financial hardship, children are often impacted the most. Limited access to nutritious food can affect a child's ability to focus in school, learn effectively, and reach their full potential.

The Genesee County Backpack Program helps address this challenge by providing children with nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals to take home on weekends when school meals are unavailable. Each month, the program delivers more than 1,300 meals to school-aged children across four local school districts, helping ensure they have the nourishment they need to thrive.
