2017 Business Workshop Series: NYS Paid Family Leave Act

7:30am Networking,  8:00am-9:00am Workshop

Presenters:  Judy Karmens, Compliance Specialist at Lawley & Michael Szymoniak, Jr. Employee Benefits Consultant at Lawley

Starting in January 2018, Paid Family Leave (PFL) — one of the most comprehensive family leave programs in the nation — takes effect for New Yorkers. What does that mean? Beginning in 2018, private sector employees can take paid time off to bond with a new child, care for a seriously sick family member, or address family matters due to a qualifying military exigency while benefiting from job security. Whether you’re an employer, or employee, you’ll find the most current information on how this new mandatory benefit impacts you.

All Seminars will be held at the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce Office, 8276 Park Road, Batavia, NY.

Networking & light refreshments will begin at 7:30am with the Seminar to start promptly at 8am and end at 9am.

All sessions are FREE for Chamber Members and $10.00 for Non-Members.

Call or email Kelly J. Bermingham at 585-343-7440, ext. 1026 to sign up.
